Our popular theme Nuevo has been updated to be responsive. Nuevo will now adapt to your visitors various screen sizes to insure that your website is readable and easy to navigate. We have even added a new setting. So if you, for some reason, don’t want your website to be responsive, you can turn off the feature from within Nuevo Settings. Besides responsive layout we added an option to pull front page teaser from an input field under theme settings or from the language file. We have now added an option to enable three columns layout in all of our themes in the 1.8 branch of Elgg. Under theme settings, you can choose between two columns or three columns, giving you an extra sidebar where you can add content such as Google AdSense. To make it easier for you to benefit from the three column layout we’ve even added a boot file whose content is passed to the new secondary sidebar. Nuevo is the first of our themes that has been updated to elgg version 1.8. Go to your downloads and grab a new package. The folder you download contains both versions 1.8 and 1.7. Besides the update to 1.8 we have added new admin settings, among others options to display the profile icon and friends on the page Activity.
